JACKSON COUNTY (KSNT) – A Fort Riley man was arrested early Friday morning following a police chase in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says that at 11:57 Thursday night officers were sent to the area of 150th and Q Road on a report of a possible intoxicated driver.
A Potawatomi Tribal Police Officer attempted to stop a 2009 Ford Escape that was headed westbound on 150th Road, a pursuit ensued with the assistance of Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. The pursuit continued east on 150th Road and ended when the Escape continued east through a road closed sign where the vehicle rolled onto its side landing up against a tree.
Authorities say the driver, 30-year-old Christopher Lee Cronin of Fort Riley was removed from the vehicle by emergency responders and taken to a local hospital.
Cronin was then booked into the Jackson County Jail and charged with felony flee and elude, driving under the influence and driving while suspended.
